Komodo Island is The NEW 7 Wonders of The World – Komodo is an island in Indonesia with an area of 390 sq km and about 2000 inhabitants. It belongs to the Lesser Sunda Islands. Administratively, the island belongs to the province of Nusa Tenggara Timur.
Komodo Island is The NEW 7 Wonders of The World is the chain of the Lesser Sunda Islands between the larger neighboring islands Sumbawa and Flores in the west to the east. The dry climate due to the bare majority, and often rugged mountain peaks in the north in Gunung Satalibo (758 meters), in the middle of the Gunung Arab (823 meters), in the south in Gunung Komodo (655 meters) and on the southern peninsula in Gunung Langkoi (518 meters). Along with smaller islands is a part of the Komodo National Park Komodo, which includes beyond the Lintah-strait islands Padar and Rinca. Known is the Komodo dragon at home here.
